    Nokia N900

The Nokia N900 features the new Linux-based Maemo operating system and is more of an internet tablet than a phone. Its outstanding features are its QWERTY keyboard, hi-res touchscreen, web browser and multitasking ability.
Display: Resistive touchscreen, 16 million colours, 800 x 480 pixels (3.5 inches) with orientation sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor. 5 megapixel camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) with Carl Zeiss optics, Tessar lens, autofocus, dual LED flash, photo editor and geo-tagging. Connectivity: Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, TV-Out, WLAN 802.11 b/g, 3.5 mm stereo headphone plug

    Nokia N97

The N97 is more a mobile computer than a mobile phone. Packed with every imaginable feature, Nokia's designers have succeeded in creating a device that is supremely powerful yet easy to use, with a user-friendly touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. With music, video, photos, email, web and downloadable apps all easily accessible from the customizable home page, the N97 delivers everything that we could ask for on the move. However, it's big, heavy and expensive, and has the usual freezing/crashing problems that come with N Series phones

    Nokia N82

It's a classic-style smartphone with GPS navigation, an outstanding 5 megapixel camera, media player, wireless LAN, a 2 Gbyte memory card and HSDPA for accelerated 3G connectivity. Suffice to say that you can't really get more from a phone than you can from the N82: possibly the best camera in a mobile phone (5 megapixels with autofocus and xenon flash), GPS navigation, a superb screen, high-speed 3G, WLAN, a huge memory, etc. The screen on the N82 is slightly smaller, but the phone itself is slightly narrower and slimmer too. The weight is slightly less, but not enough to make any real difference. We prefer the keypad of the N95 - the N82 has fiddly little buttons - but with fewer "extra" buttons, the N82 arguably has a simpler user interface.

    Nokia E75

Features include A-GPS, WiFi, HSDPA, a full web browser, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, MP3 player, FM radio and up to 16GB of memory.. When the keyboard is closed, the Nokia E75 seems to be a perfectly normal phone, although certainly heavier than average at 139g. The numeric keypad is small but well laid out with dedicated one-touch keys for home, calendar and email. The display is reasonable at 2.4 inches, and is very clear with 16 million colours and QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels). Two customisable home screens are available - one for business, one for personal use. When you need to use the full keyboard - for texting or emails - you just slide it out, turn the phone on its side, and you have a very comfortable QWERTY keyboard available for text entry. The display automatically rotates to landscape mode too.

    Nokia E65

The Nokia E65 is a 3G smartphone aimed squarely at business users. This is a Symbian phone, so if offers a lot of scope for power users to customise the phone and install their own applications. The calendar is very flexible, and contacts are easy to manage. There's support for email with attachments, and fast access to data via EDGE or 3G networks. On the negative side, Symbian can sometimes be slow and the phone may crash or freeze from time to time. The battery life of the E65 is less than average, which is not surprising considering that this is a 3G phone with WLAN and Bluetooth. You can switch off any of these features to conserve battery life if they're not needed.
There are some great features in this phone, but others that aren't so hot, so you'll need to make sure it's right for you. Starting with the exterior, we've mentioned the attractive design of the phone already. It's a very nicely-sized phone and not too heavy, although we'd have preferred a slightly larger keypad - what is it with Nokia and small keypads? The slide design is practical as well as smart, as it enables a large screen to be fitted to a compact phone.

    Nokia E60

The Nokia E60 is a business-orientated 3G Smartphones. There's no camera and it looks like a brick, so teenagers stop reading now!

OK, if you're still reading, then we'll say straight away that this is an excellent phone for the business user. There's really nothing missing, and plenty to recommend the E60. Let's start with the outside. It's a smart functional design - nice and square - not too big or heavy, but solid. The keypad is excellent with nicely separated, good-sized keys, and a precise 5-way navigation key. The screen is a good size and is fantastically sharp. Nokia have pulled out all the stops with this one. It's an active matrix display with 16 million colours and an ultra-high resolution: 352 x 416 pixels. This is clearly designed to enable document reading and web browsing, and it works well. If the font is too small, then you can easily zoom into a document, as well as rotate and pan with ease. It's the next best thing to having a laptop and it impressed us.

    Nokia E50

The Nokia E50 is not a phone apparently. According to Nokia's website it's a "business device". It's been designed as a kind of mobile office, but it's not a huge clunky device like the 9500 Communicator - it looks like a mobile phone! In fact, for a SmartPhone it's pretty light and slim.

The E50 is intended as a lightweight SmartPhone for the business user who's not interested in having a camera, MP3 player, etc on their phone. There is a camera, but it's not up to much, and is in fact optional. On the other hand, the E50 has a good set of business functions: a good speakerphone, voice dialling and commands, email support, web browsing and an attachment viewer for Microsoft documents. It supports Bluetooth 2.0 wireless connectivity in addition to USB and infrared. Memory is ample, with 70 Mbytes built-in and support for hot-swappable memory cards. The E50 is quadband, but not 3G. However, fast downloads via EDGE are possible, so this isn't too much of a hindrance. On top of this, the Symbian Series 60 functionality makes this a powerful business device. The E50 also has superb battery life.

    Nokia X6

Nokia's first Xseries phone is an upmarket touchscreen smartphone with a compact design. Its star features include a superbly responsive capacitive touchscreen, 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of memory, an impressive 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, video calling, A-GPS, HSDPA, WiFi, a 3.5mm audio jack and outstanding battery performance. Available in Black, Blue or Pink.
X stands for XpressMusic, so you'd expect the X6 to be pretty good in the music arena. And it is! The X6 comes with an Nseries music player and an FM radio. The music player handles most digital music formats, including MP3, WMA and AAC, and supports selection of songs by artist, composer, album and genre, with album graphics displayed. A dedicated audio chip and 3D surround sound from stereo speakers delivers excellent performance, especially when the bass booster, stereo widening and loudness effects are added. There's also an 8-band graphic equaliser for additional control. Naturally a 3.5mm audio jack is included, so you can plug in your own headphones, and perhaps best of all is the massive 32GB of built-in memory. The optional Comes With Music feature gives you free unlimited music downloads for a whole year!

    Nokia E7

The Nokia E7 is a powerful smartphone with a large 4 inch screen and a full-sized QWERTY keyboard, making it a good choice for email and texting. There are good features here including an 8 megapixel camera with HD video, a high quality media player, fast internet and 16GB memory. But it's a very large and heavy phone, with questionable battery life and dubious reliability and user-friendliness, thank to its Symbian operating system.

    Nokia E6

The Nokia E6 is a high-end smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen user interface, running Symbian Anna. With rock-solid build quality and many strong features, the E6 is more than a match for the likes of BlackBerry. But the impending demise of Symbian is a black mark against the phone.

    Nokia C6-01

The Nokia C6-01 is a mid-range Symbian^3 smartphone with a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen. The device is compact but heavy, and feels solid in the hand. The camera can capture still shots at 8 megapixels and video in HD. Wi-Fi and HSDPA give fast internet access. Available in Black or Silver

    Nokia C7

The Nokia C7 runs the latest Symbian^3 smartphone operating system and offers a lot for your money. Star features include a responsive touchscreen with pinch-and-zoom capability, HD video recording, GPS with free navigation software and maps, 8GB of onboard memory and great battery life. Available in silver, black and brown.

    Nokia C5-03

The C5-03 is another uninspired Nokia smartphone running the old Symbian operating system. With its unresponsive resistive touchscreen, poor camera with fixed focus, no flash, and lack of adequate memory, it serves as a sad example of everything that's gone wrong with Nokia. Available in Graphite and Green.

    Nokia X7

The Nokia X7 is an expensive smartphone, but it offers poor value for money. Running the Symbian Anna operating system, which isn't our favourite and is destined to be dumped by Nokia, the X7 suffers from a low screen resolution, slow processor, inadequate memory, a mediocre camera and an average battery. It looks and feels premium

    Nokia 5230 Black / Nokia 5230 Pink / Nokia 5230 Purple / Nokia 5230 White

The 5230 is an entry-level touchscreen smartphone. Its key features are its large touchscreen, A-GPS with Ovi Maps, 3G, downloadable apps from the Ovi store and outstanding battery life. On the other hand it has a poor camera, a mono speaker, no WiFi and no video calling.

                        Nokia N8 Black / Nokia N8 Pink / Nokia N8 Silver

The Nokia N8 is the best Nokia we've seen yet, with the latest Symbian^3 smartphone operating system and an amazing 12 megapixel camera with xenon flash and HD video recording. With a responsive touchscreen with pinch-and-zoom capability, GPS with free navigation software and maps, 16GB of onboard memory and great battery life, it's a strong all-rounder.
